I'm looking for a better trigger on my Vanguard

I currently own a Weatherby Vanguard (not the V2) chambered in 30-06 and I LOVE it. A ton of fun to shoot and is just plain accurate. The only thing that bothers me about this gun is the trigger. I recently bought a .308 remington 700 sps for my dad and I have to say I'm slightly jealous of the trigger. To me it just seems to have that slight upper edge, its very smooth and crisp. I was just wondering what a good replacement trigger for my vanguard would be if ANY at all.

Timney makes a Weatherby Vanguard trigger that has excellent reviews. Adjustable between 1.5-4lbs.

I put a Timney on my 257Wby Vanguard. It made a considerable improvement in trigger feel. Also adds a 3 position safety allowing opening the bolt with safety on.

Follow these simple instructions, save some money, and get to know your rifle a little better. Mine is simply awesome after this adjustment.

I know what you mean by the Vanguard (1) trigger. I tried one in the store and it was gritty, creepy, and just horrid. The new version 2 is supposed to have a much better trigger. Timney makes a great trigger.

The V1 trigger is an awesome trigger with just a little stone work and adjusting.
