I just got a Marlin model 336A 35 Remington. I can't fined much for load data. Can ya help me out?

i have an old Savage chambered in 35 Rem...one of my favorite deer guns in the woods where long range isnt needed.
i use a 200 gr hornaday leveration bullet with 35.5 grain of IMR 4064. been a pretty accurate combo for me so far
look on the Hornaday website and they will have it there.

took me a bit to settle on a load but that one has proved pretty good for me so far at the range.
havent had a chance to shoot a deer with it yet but i have no doubt it will do then job and then some

I get very consistent 1.5" to 2" 5-shot groups from my 336 with either the 180 gr or 220 gr Speer flat-points and Reloder 12. That's not going to win any prizes at the local benchrest competition, of course, but I think it's reasonable for a lever-action "woods rifle." I use 41 gr under the 180 and 39 gr under the 220. Both bullets perform much better in my gun than the more traditional 200-gr round nose.

Disclaimer: You really shouldn't use any load data from an unknown internet source (including this one) without confirming it either in a manual or on a manufacturer's online site. In my case, the load information came from the Speer Manual #12, which shows a max load of 44 gr of Re12 for the 180 gr and 39 gr for the 220. For whatever reason, Speer doesn't show Re12 data for either bullet in its current (#14) manual. Don't believe any of that - check it out for yourself.

ETA: Just took a look at the Alliant web site, and they don't list Reloder 12 any more, so I guess I'm going to need to work up a new load when I run out of the supply I've got.

Go to the Hodgdon site and use their Reloading Data Center. There's lots of data for the .35 Remington. Personally, I like a 200 grain jacketed round nose bullet in that caliber. I use IMR 4895, but I have a lot of it. Nearly any mid-range powder works well in that cartridge.

Yep, try Varget or 4064 first. Remington's 200 gr. CL-RN bullet is MADE for that cartridge, it's performance is excellant.

Based on my reloading buddy's advice, I bought two pounds of 3031 for loads for my 336c 35 Remington. Two years later they still sit unopened.

This is one of those, if it works so well, you can not change it. I started loading the 35 Remington with H4895 and can not bring myself to change.

Here is the load info:

38.5 grains of H4895, Speer 180 grain FN bullet, Win Large Rifle primer, set to a OAL of 2.470. Heavy crimp. Beats the daylights out of anything else on accuracy.
