Can someone tell me if the .221 Fireball and .222 Remington cartridges have the exact same case head dimensions? I am asking because I am thinking about rebarreling an old XP-100 to fire .222 Rem. and I do not want to have to alter the bolt in any way.
Thanks very much for any replies!

from Speer manual 13,.221 fireball case head
is ,3780" ..222 Rem is .03780"but the web near base is .3772" on fireball and.3765" on
.222.since its a rebarrel and not a chamber
job won't make a diff.

Thanks very much! I am not a handloader and do not have those great manuals to reference.
