Perfect cartridge for your purpose. Any of the 140s will do, I don't know that you'll get more than 2850 but you don't need more .

I've had great luck with Federal's 140 Nosler Balistic tip. It usually drops them right where they are And my rifle shoots under 1/2" with them.
I decided on them by making a trip to the local range with a half a dozen boxes of premium ammunition and sticking with the one that shot best, but there is no bad answer. The worst shot about 1 1/4". 2850 fps is about all they'll give you though. The deer don't seem to notice the lack of velocity. |

I get the same point of impact with factory stuff as with my handloads, with the 139/140-grain bullets. Happy dance!
My 700 Ti totals 6.5 pounds. Recoil from the bench isn't bad at all, and non-noticeable from offhand. Plenty good for any deer. Art |
