I am new to this forum and I would like some help. I know that this will sound like a silly question, but I would like to replace a metal bead sight on an old shotgun. What is the best way to remove the old sight? Do I use vicegrips and hope I don't take the blueing off? An help would be appreciated.

You didn't mention the Brand name, or type, but many front sites on shotguns are Tapped, and must me un-screwed. You can use a standard plyers and turn the site out as you would normally unscrew any normal nut or screw.

LEFT ON, RIGHT OFF

Harley,

Thanks for the help. I took the old sight off and replaced it with a fiber optic.

Thanks,
