Where is the best place to buy a synthetic stock and fore end for a remington 870?

Brownell's.

They have a great selection and good prices -- especially if you can find a friendly FFL or a fella with a C&R license, as they qualify for a deep discount.

My favorite is the Choate adjustable length-of-pull buttstock, which IIRC, is $41 for the folks mentioned previously.

Back in 1991, a friend purchased a Choate tactical stock w/ pistol grip for his 870. He removed the Speedfeed, which has since been on my 870. The Choate stock was the ugliest thing I'd ever seen, horrible finish, asymmetrical throughout, bumpy, lumpy, cheap looking, bad fit to the receiver, as if the form had been carved out with a knife and fork...

If Speedfeed still makes stocks like they used to, I'd go with them, and http://www.cheaperthandirt.com has great prices. Also Brownell's...
