That's one heck of a collection. On the Rem 44, do 20 grain loads for the brass frame and 30 grain for the steel frame sound about right? Thanks. |

Yeah, that's about right. My .44 Remington is best served with 30 gr fffg real black and a lubed felt overpowder wad, and while that's also likely to be closer to the 'best' load for the brass version it would be abuse of the frame in the long run.

My younger brother has a Pietta just like this one, same vintage too. It is actually a very nice piece and shoots quite well.
