Need info on shot gun

Need any info anyone might have on a Hopkins&Allen single shot break open shotgun. Serial #J84xx No cal. marked bore is .75" 30"barrel 44 3/4 over all. Marked on left side...

From the info provided I would say that it was a 12 ga made between 1902 and 1914. Value tween 50 and 150 depending on condition and charactoristics of your individual gun. H&A made inexpensive guns for many houses in addition to the ones bearing their own name. They also made a very few pricey variants.

Not to be fired untill inspected and ok'd by competant gunsmith.

Thanks for the info! I tried to load a 12 guage shell and it is too big. Could this be a different cal. bore is about .75".
oh and I have no plans on shooting this piece. If i need to shoot a turkey or a bg i will use the 870 wing master...
