Dave McC is right!
Dave McC is right about his comments regarding the Remington 870. It is utterly simple and durable. Of the shotguns I have or bought recently, this is the one that impresses me the most.
I once owned a Wilson Arms WP870 (Witness Protection 870) Class 3 AOW (Any Other Weapon) shotgun, which is built from an Remington 870. I just bought a Remington 870 Police shotgun (18" barrel with bead sight, parkerized finish, standard orange follower, no key lock on the safety, and 5+1 capacity), among other shotguns, and I must say that it's perfect out of the box. Thanks, Dave!

Glad I could help. Now, buy ammo, shoot it up, repeat. And leave all those Glocks alone for a while. Concentrate on learning the 870 until it feels like a body part and not a tool. Then, you're ready.... Thanks.... |

cant beat an 870 for durabilty, the willingness of it to fire even with a receiver full of woods stuff like leaves and branch parts(i let my buddy use mine once, note that word once),and its abilty to take a variety of after market goodies and add-ons.i lovem.my page on them.

FYI
There is a coupon on the Remington webpage good for a $25 rebate on any Remington Model 870 Express bought between 8/1/01 and 11/15/01. I saw this somewhere on TFL, but cannot remember exactly where.
Whoops - Look in the Shotgun section for the thread about 870 extended tubes.
