30 Carbine & Win 748
Can you use Win 748 to load the 30 carbine? If so, anyone got a load?

I think 748 is a little too slow to load the .30 carbine. The normal buring range of powder for the carbine is like magnum pistol powder. W296 or H110 are more suitable for the .30 carbine.

Or Herc 2400, Blue Dot, IMR 4227, etc. But, W748 is definitely too slow.

I have had excellent results with W296. Accuracy and speed are very consistent. MAke sure you crimp firmly, though, or a squib may result. (I have had one squib in about 500 rounds made).

Another vote for Win 296
I have also had excellent results with Win 296.
I recently loaded up a batch of .30 Carbine with some AA #9, though I haven't tested it yet. On paper it looks promising.

be careful crimping 30 carbine--the case mouth determines the headspace and if over crimped will tear off the case head and leave body of casing in the barrel...you should always check the length of 30carbine and trim if over length...the above was learned in the school of hard knocks....Dick
