New Glock 41 EDC Update w/ Pyramid Trigger: Review

Hello.. Been a while since I posted here. A few things have changed.

One being going back to .45ACP from 9mm. Another being going to a SIG P226 shortly after being married to the Glock 19. Did the SIG P226 for several months before going to the Glock 41 as my EDC and gun I carry at work.

EDC:

Glock 41 with these mods..

Trijicon HD night sights.
American Flag back plate.
Pyramid trigger (full) with plunger and 4lb striker spring.
Larry Vickers slide stop (on the way)
Larry Vickers FDE magazine base plate for the flush 13 rounder. (The others are +2 rounders, so 15 rounders as spares)
TLR-1 HL is the weapon mounted light

Loaded with 230 grain Speer Gold Dots. 230 grain Winchester PDX. The rest have basic ball ammo in case a barrier is in question. I'm a magazine hoarder.

Holsters are:

Bravo Concealment DOS (appendix carry)
Bravo Concealment Patriot light bearing holster (OWB @ work)
Safariland OWB paddle holster w/o light (OWB @ work)
PHLster SKELETON (appendix)
Bravo Concealment dual mag carrier OWB

So yes... I conceal carry a bigger than full size Glock 41.
It's modified. I shoot better with it that way, that's another thing that's changed. Working around all these military vets changed my view on modifying my own personal weapon. Boiled down to (and not up for discussion on this thread cause it'll derail) the criminals having the drop on a normal citizen 99% of the time and odds are stacked against us regardless. An option to make us more adequate in defending oneself triumphs whatever may come after. I'll take any advantage I can get. I know many disagree with that. I was once that person and a part of me still realizes that it will more than likely be an issue (God forbid it reaches that point). Well it's not a hair trigger... It's a very nice pull and I've set it up that way instead of the ones I've felt other people carry.

The Pyramid trigger... I can work on Glocks with my eyes closed as a macaw pecks on my forehead and my mother is screaming in Spanish. Not an issue for me to install this whatsoever. Easy install. Did everything except the striker spring... I shot it first with the factory striker spring. Really tight groups. Golf ball sized... Then decided to add in the 4lb spring mid session. And it was the same but the grittiness that was there prior was gone. So I stuck with that. Didn't even want to look at the 2lb spring.

So, all is well. Shot flawlessly. Groups were tight. Stoppage drills out of the holster at 3, 5, and 7 yards were great. ( 2 to COM and one upstairs)

I highly recommend this trigger for anyone who feels the same way I do.

Pics later.

I have a fairly new model 41 and was thinking about a new trigger. I am not familiar with the Vickers Slide Stop and why that is an improvement ... can you enlighten me?

Of course! It pretty much has the same as factory serrations, but it's angled to face downward more instead of flush. So it's not like the factory extended slide stop, it's more like the factory one at an angle.

Nice! So you feel the 41 love as well... Mine does it all as of late. Can't wait to take a class with it. Unfortunately it's gonna be a while now, a quick turn of events occurred with work... heh...

I've been trying to take pics, but for some odd reason the Tapatalk app on my phone isn't connecting to TFL. o_o

To some it may seem a bit extreme. You are carrying what is to most beyond a fullsize gun.

That said, why care? You're the one defending yourself, not them. If it floats your boat go for it.

I love you like a fat kid loves cake, but dropping something like this and then saying, "But it's not up for discussion", is a bit nuts. It's like walking into an auto parts store and saying, "The Ford Mustang is the best production car ever designed, but I don't want to talk about that and you guys should just accept it as fact." I'll resist the urge for now.

lol yes yes I know. But I just didn't want it to get into being about triggers being modified and such instead of being about my glorious Glock 41.

Also going to add... I'm probably going back to my Glock 19 again... because...
I got fired from yet another job and the 41 was my work gun and didn't want to go back and forth from gun to gun every day a few times a day.

Now that I'll probably be going back to where I used to smith at and such, I may just stick to the 19. However, if I do get hired somewhere else like this last place I was at? It'll be the 41.

Sorry to hear dude. At least it's the same platform and manufacturer so it shouldn't be too much of a difference going back and forth.

If you get a chance and you can get it working, I'd be interested in some pics.
