Primarily a 1911 guy. Fifteen and counting.
However.
I think my signature says it best.

I've been thinking about this thread for a few days, and I still haven't come up with a good term for myself. I guess I'm a low-maintenance shooter.

Low-maintenance: I don't mind doing the basic upkeep on a firearm, but I like low-maintenance finishes. Just about everything I own is either Parkerized or stainless. As much as I like the looks of a beautiful, blued pistol, I don't have any desire to put in the work to keep 'em purty. Just about everything I've got is a matte finish, slightly scuffed or holster-worn.

Shooter: If I can't take it out and shoot it, I won't keep it. I'm a thoroughly awful collector of fine, well, anything. If I can't take it out of its case and use it, I don't want it. I don't care if it's a firearm or a fountain pen. I need for a gun to go bang, and I need for it to go bang, exactly when it is supposed to, every time. I understand that guns are mechanical and can fail, but I'll sacrifice a whole lot of Pretty for Reliable.

I'm a "Euro-gun" guy. My two favorite guns are: Sig X-Five and Tanfoglio Stock 10mm. After those two, then it would be my Belgian Browning Hi Power. In fact, I was shooting my X-Five today. Amazingly accurate out to 50 feet.

I have many different makes of handguns, but if I had to single out just one, I suppose I would be a "SIG" guy.

Im a 357 magnum guy. I have many guns and about 1/2 are 357 magnums. I have Rifles, revolvers and autos in 357 magnum. I use it for self defence, plinking, hunting small game, hunting mule deer, shooting paper and even some competitive shooting. I feel it is a very well rounded caliber.

Of my other guns all of them are 45-70 Govt, 22LR or 12ga. I like not having to stock a huge variety of rounds. The only thing I think I should add is some thing flatter shooting and better for long range. Leaning toward 308, 30-30 or 30-06.

all 25 of my guns are 45/70 govt, 357 mag, 22 or 12 ga... I believe in keeping it simple

I think I fall into the category of "gun guy".. I own import and domestics, plastic and steel, new and old, revolver and auto, striker and hammer, SA and DA. Even have a safe queen but the rest are shooters. While I might l have tendencies, I don't have set favorites. If I had to pick something more specific, I'd be a "Royal Blue Colt Python guy", lol.

I'm a revolver guy.

Specifically, .38 special and .357 magnum "duty" revolver guy! LOVE the old cop and military wheelguns. I spend most of my time at the range and in research with them.

I'm a 1911 and M14 guy... I was born in the wrong decade, I'm 24 and I also like mostly classic rock (Skynyrd rules!) and the sexiest looking cars on earth were muscle cars made between 1965 and 1970 (Challengers, Mustangs, Chevelles and GTOs).

Yep, you were born in the wrong decade.

I love classic rock and classic cars. 1965? I had a Ford Mustang (289), Buick Skylark (300 special aka baby Wildcat), Pontiac Tempest (326) and Plymouth Fury III (318) of that year.

Strong buggers and all small block.

As the old saying goes, "Ya' gotta dance with the one that brung ya'". As such, I prefer some form of M1911 and .45ACP if at all possible.

I am predominantly a stainless Ruger revolver guy. Redhawk, Blackhawk, GP100, SP101, Single Six ... even a couple of Old Armies. I enjoy reloading .357 and .44 mags across the full power spectrum from powder puff to heavy magnum loads, and it's nice not to have to chase my brass. So for range and field use, definitely a Ruger revolver guy.

That said, my (non-Ruger) semi-autos in 9mm and .40S&W see more CCW duty, even though I do carry an SP101 on occasion.

I agree! I think this is what we all are! I like Revolvers, Others like 1911s, others like Glocks and still others like Derringers. No Matter what I like I support others rights to carry what they like.

I am here for you, if you need someone to talk to in a time of question and need,,, hey I am here for you. Ok, I admit it if it goes bang I too like it but I acknowledge my weakness and you must too. You must admit this weakness before you can start the healing process..... ahhh what was the question ???
