Ordered some toys for my P220 Dark Elite

No pics yet, because I don't have them... but I wanted some more mags for my P220. They seem to be about impossible to find. I couldn't find any 8 rounders for anything resembling a decent price, but I did find some 10-rd factory mags for $34/ea which I considered a decent price.

I also went ahead and ordered the E2 grip conversion kit for the gun. I love the aluminum grips, and I don't really care for the E2 on the P226, but I handled a P220 with E2 in my local shop and it seemed to be quite nice. Anyone else have the E2 on their P220 yet?

I'll be sure to share some pics when all the goodies come in. Here's the gun as it sits today.

Got the E2 grip today and installed it this evening. It feels great, and I'm actually disappointed saying that because I love the aluminum grips.

I also got the Comp-Tac Infidel for my MK25(which fits the P220 just about perfectly as well).

It was one of the 12 or so cloudy days we have every year today and already getting dark so I couldn't get out back to take some pics.

Hoping to get to the range tomorrow to see how I shoot with these grips. Should have pics and a follow up tomorrow.

I know exactly how you feel. I think the aluminum grips on my P220 look awesome and the feel is pretty decent. However, got the E2 grips on my P229 and although I’m not a big fan of their appearance they do feel really good.

Got to the range on lunch today and put 100 rounds downrange.

I definitely do like the E2 grips better during shooting. The gun shot very well as usual. I was centered left to right, but was shooting about an inch to an inch and a half low at 21 feet. I'll give it another couple of trips before I decide if I need to adjust the sight a bit.

Carrying the gun in the Comp-Tac Infidel was very comfortable and easily concealed.

I'm still loving the P220 and with the E2 grips it will probably get some more range time soon as well. I do have Hogue G10 grips and the 22 conversion kit being delivered within the next couple of days for the MK25, so it will be getting a good workout as well.

You sure? They're not listed on the website anywhere, just the 10rd ones.

UM,

I just bought two 10 round magazines from Top Gun.

They indicated that they also had the 8 round P220 mags in stock.

Who knows now? Keep checking - they seem to come and go with alacrity...

They DO seem to be unusually hard to find, no matter where you look - but I found the 10 rounders I wanted so am 'happy happy happy'.

I'm sure the catalog I received within a week lists them. Whether they sold out since it was printed I cannot say. Give them a call.
