Fess Parker's gun used in Disney's Davy Crockett found

The original flintlock used by Fess Parker in Disney's Davy Crockett has surfaced. It was bought for a song (but not "Born on a Mountaintop in Tennessee"). Click on the link for more details and pictures:

Interesting article - thanks for posting!

Fond memories of watching that show . . . too bad we don't have others like that one around today. I miss a lot of the old good ones - Mayberry RFD, Waltons, Bonanza, etc. - they at least had some social redeeming value and taught some lessons about honesty, responsibility, etc. - I know, the reruns are on and I do watch 'em once in a while - Mayberry RFD, etc. Unfortunately shows like this wouldn't be "politically correct" . . . heaven help us if the kids today wore exposed to the morals we were many years ago . . . .

I loved that show. Walt Disney brought us a lot of good productions.
