Make sure you spend some time bedding the Savage. It is worth your time.

I am in the process of building a rifle for my son. Had an old Mauser 98 action laying around. Bought a Green Mountain barrel. Local smith did all of the work i cant do at home. Got a 90% stock and the man child and I are finishing it together. So once i an dead and gone my son will have something to remember our time together.
Alot of work, yes.
Would i do it again, probably not.
But is it worth it this once. Absolutely
