SKS Gas Tube

Hey folks, I need a new gas tube and piston for my Chinese Jianshe Arsenal SKS. The piston isn't an issue, but I want JUST the gas tube. The only thing I can find online are those gas tubes with a poly hand guard or a weaver rail.

Anyone have any idea where I can get just the gas tube?

eBay or sksboards.com might be a place to look. Could give gunbroker.com a try too

There's a guy on eBay that makes the pistons in his tool shop. Believe his handle was copperhead or something. Very good quality & 922r compliant. I had a short version made for a paratrooper and works perfect.

Numrich offers stripped piston tubes ("gas cylinders") on occasion. You just have to be patient, and wait for it to show up in the random list of "not illustrated" parts.

Gary, did you have a para trooper (uses clips, 16" barrel) or an SKS M (uses AK magazines)?

I've never heard of a paratrooper with a non standard gas system.

The one in question was the para trooper, but had been converted for mags. The other one I have is original with blade bayo. I told the guy that was making it, he said I'm glad you told me its a paratrooper because the piston is shorter. Not sure about the tube, but the piston is a little shorter. At least it was on this one.
