Sig Sauer Night Sights - Trijicon?

Hello there,

I recently purchased a Sig P239, used, and it came with Sig contrast sights installed. I'd like to have them replaced with the Sig Trijicon night sights like my P229 has.

I've heard that Sig now installs Meprolights as their night sights. Is that true?

Does anyone know if I can find the Trijicon Siglight night sights anywhere? I'm a big fan of them vs. Mepros.....splitting hairs, perhaps, but that's the way it is.

Thanks in advance!

I use standard in green on green three dot trijicons on my 239. I've had them for over 7 Year's and they are still very bright.

SIG Sauer P series night sights....

For carry or defense, I'd look at the Trijicon HD line.
They are not cheap compared to other models but Trijicon has a proven record in US law enforcement and military units.
The XS Big Dot system is good too but I'd buy the HD night sights.
Gunsmith & instructor Bruce Gray is widely known for SIG Sauers.

See Brownells.com MidwayUSA.com Trijicon.com Grafs.com .

Cool. Thanks all.

I guess my question was...does Sig still offer the Trijicon night sights for their guns, or will I need to look for aftermarket stuff? I noticed the Trijicon sights on my 2006-ish P229 are different than the Trijicons I purchased and had installed on my other guns in the past years...and I prefer the former.

Carry sights...

I prefer the regular Wayne Novak style for concealed carry/duty pistols.
Novak R&Ded the 3 dot style in the mid 1980s for use on S&W semi auto pistols. The design proved very popular & is now available for many brands.

I also like the XS big dot front sight but it's not very practical to buy 2 different gun sight systems.
The Trijicon Green/Orange format 3 dot HD would work well. The steel sights are far better than factory Glocks or SIGs & the night sights are very bright.
Ruger SRs & the Smith and Wesson SD series could benefit from Trijicon HDs.

think so

Yeah, seems like the last armorer class I went to, 5 years or so back, it was mentioned that SIG was not using Triji's but had switched to Mepro.

That said, the outfit ordered a bunch of new night sights shortly thereafter, and they arrived....... all Triji's.

Maybe the last of old stock.

Oh...good to know. Perhaps I'll contact Sig and see if they have any Trijicons left over...
