The barrel nut may not be tightened correctly.

I wasn't aware that Vanguards had barrel nuts.

Still if I had one of the affected rifles, I'd return it because something is going on with them.

I have one but with an unaffected serial. Two strange things. One is I can see no barrel nut on this rifle. Two is you mean to tell me Japanese workers at Howa are not torqueing barrels right and letting them get out the door? I highly doubt this. Something is amiss here, but I agree if you have an affected serial give them a call.

Yea. There's been a lot of discussion about the "barrel nut" mistake. But, that's what the recall notice states.

Regardless of the incorrect term, the rifles that fall into the recall serial number ranges may have an improperly-torqued barrel.
