I am sure there are TONS of small pits etc. I have heard of lots of areas "up that road there, turn at the rock" directions.

GPS coords are the key.

Added some more stores as well as a few new honey holes that people have shared.

There's also a very good place at the eastern end of Union Gap, although I cannot right now recall the name of the place.
Hammers Outdoor World. Dealt with "Oatmeal" quite a bit, nice guy.

I'm at work and the link for the map won't work here so I couldn't tell if it was on there.

You might note that the National Forest land astride I-90, from Garcia to the Summit, is closed to recreational shooting. Just too many shot-up appliances on one hand, and too many folks shooting in or near campgrounds, trails, water, and around others to let it continue. Shooters should inquire at the North Bend Ranger Station for areas that are not closed to shooting.

The closure is about 1/2 mile wide.

From what I hear there is some decent signage up there as well stating the no shoot areas.

I EMPLORE all people who are going to go out and shoot in the woods to check your local/state/federal maps for no shooting zones as well as make sure you are not on private property.

I just moved to Arlington, WA from Texas about 2 months ago. A Google search for places to shoot turned up this thread, so I thought I would post to say thanks for this and to see if any new information needs to be added.

While the thread was taking its beauty sleep, Sam's shop and range in south Everett went out of business, then a local gunshop chain moved in there and reopened the range.

They are now West Coast Armory North. I can't compare them to the range you have in Arlington, assuming that one is still going. It was named something like Nor-Point last I heard.

Welcome to WA State, Elkbow. The foggy and wet season has started and we will see just how much a Texas boy can take of that....

I recommend you join the Washington Arms Collectors since half their gun shows are near to you, in Monroe. In fact the next one there is on 2 & 3 November.

I recommend you get yourself a concealed pistol permit, since it lets you buy without a waiting period and more important, it tells the legislature that one more person is a serious lawful gun owner and will vote accordingly. Oh, yeah, it lets you legally carry concealed too

Just saw the map and can't help but chuckle at the number of gun ranges in and around the liberal bastion that is Seattle. Your fellow shooting enthusiasts down here in Texas are glad to see shooting is still alive and well in the state that gave us USPSA.

Champion arms in kent is under new ownership and the store was renamed to Protech firearms the range I believe is still called Champion arms. When I left in August the new owners were still waiting on the FFL paper work to come back but the range was still open.

Sam's gun store and range in Everett has reopened as West Coast Armory Everett, or West Coast Armory North (or similar).

Ah heck, I'm being ignored!

Rick, you echoed my words. Accurately at least

Tuna, that shop still has signs and receipts (I know this since I bought a Fail Zero bolt carrier group, which was perhaps the most expensive thing they had for sale - no guns!) saying Champion Arms, but at least they are now selling guns. It was indeed a shock to go into a gun shop that had not a single gun for sale.

Although visiting some California gun shops a couple of years back was almost that bad.

If they have done more than change the legal owner label, then I guess that Protech name will go up sometime. I kinda like it.
