Charles Daly Bul M-5 Commander .45

American citizen (Bersa, DP-51, CCWP) living in Guatemala City, Guatemala, Central America:

My dear fellow gunmen and gunwomen,

Since all of you have been so great in answering all of my many questions, I thought I'd inform you that, today, I put down my initial payment on a Charles Daly Bul M-5 Commander .45. An awesome weapon that is going to fill my 1911 needs for sure.

After fees and tons of paperwork I should have it in about twenty (20) days.

Originally I sought a Bul M-5 Commander .45 with a Charles Daly Commander .40 as a second option however my arms dealer procured a Charles Daly Bul M-5 Commander .45 for a lesser price than the .40. Very nice!

Can't wait to get it, and when I do I'm taking it and my girlfriend who doubles as my translator to a swank dinner.

Your input, answers, and willingness to assist has been a great help in choosing this firearm. Thank you.

Best regards,
D. Idaho

P.S. Pictures and Youtube vids on life as a street gunfighter in a third world country to follow shortly.

I was not aware that Bul (or Charles Daly/Bul) offered an M-5 in a Commander length. That sounds like an awesome pistol and I will look forward to seeing photographs.

That is a rare bird, at least in the US.

I believe that BUL made the double-stack polymer frame that Kimber used in their -10 series. I almost bought a Pro-10 (which was also a Commander-sized double-stack .45 acp) about ten years ago, and kind of wish I had.

Looking forward to pics and a range report.
