AK Prices in your area?
I have looked in several shops here in SC, and the going rate for a WASR-10 is around $900.
What are you guys finding in your area? It seems like this is really high. Thanks. JB

Century recently raised their prices by roughly 60%. At current dealer cost, $900 is about normal for a WASR/10.

2 years ago, a WASR-10 was less than $500 and a Draco was $450. Now, those guns don't exist at stores new here anymore. Recently I was at a gun store, $950 for a used WASR-10. A new SKS is usually about $600, 2 years ago that was a $300 gun. Glad I bought my Draco when I did.

Century's gouging is just one more reason to pass on the WASRs. For just a little more, you can pick up an Arsenal.

People are asking outrageous prices (IMO) $900-1000, but they are just sitting. The ones I have seen sell are sub $750.

It hasn't been that long ago since I saw 2 WASR-10s on the wall at my LGS for $1,500 a piece during the peak of the whole craze. I know the owner quite well and when I saw them up there I looked at him, pointed at the rifles on the wall and started laughing. He then started laughing too, shrugged and said "watch, they'll sell." Now theres a milled SAM7 on the wall for the same price if not $100 less and no WASR-10's. Blew. My. Mind

Around Atlanta those wasr 10's are going (sitting) for $850 ish. A sam7 is *only* $50-$100 more. There were others for 11-1200... I don't see how they are selling for the same price as ar's. I'd just get an ar. Ak's at ar prices suck, but turn it around to ar's at ak prices and suddenly it sounds like a good deal lol

Cheapest I've seen in Central FL is $699 for a Romanian Sporter AK. WASR's are still about $799 and up, which is wacko...

I remember buying my first AK back in 2006 which was a WASR10 for a little over 400 dollars. Now they're going for 800 on up. I'm sure glad I bought my Arsenal SGL21 in early 2012 for around 800 dollars because now the WASR10 is going for that much.

just don't buy an AK until the gouging stops. 900 for a WASR? Not in a million years!

Yea with these prices, I'd rather get a flat and build my own. Would probably come out better than a WASR for alot less too.
