So, judging ONLY by the visual appearance, what is your favorite semiauto and what is the worst piece to your taste?
.

Best: 1911 Colt Gold Cup Trophy(Faith), Springfield Long Slide(Hope), Taurus 9mm (Love)

Worst: Walther PPQ

I'm not into 1911's but if we are going for looks, they win.

I mean, a 1911 looks like a gun should look like.

I love the look of the Beretta 92. BHPs and nice 1911s are right up there. Just something about the lines and curves of the Berettas, though.

Constantine,

There I did it, so when my wife calls, you'd better take responsibility like a man.

Best: 92fs, BHP, 1911 are all beautiful. Look like guns should.

Worst: obviously the Hi Point. Nothing else looks as bad. Doesn't make them bad guns for their intended design.

Best: Nickel Beretta Cheetah

I have two, for a nice matching set.

Close second: My Colt Lightweight Commander, with Sambar Stag grips.

Wish it was easier to do pics.

Worst: Most KelTecs. I'm waiting for some other manufacturer to make a competing version of the PMR-30, so I can buy one.

No, I'll wait for your revolver thread
well, everyone feel free to translate this thread to the revolver forum. Don't have too much to say about wheelguns, I reckon from the sheer esthetical point of view they are in any case superior to semiautos...

Normally I would say that the 1911 is the best-looking sidearm - but given the overwhelming number of responses on this thread which echo that sentiment, I'll throw a vote to the Colt Woodsman or Ruger Mk. 1.

Worst? There's too many to have to rule out - but the Gyrojet and Borchardt leap to mind.

Best looking IMO is the Sig P210 SuperTarget.

With some luck, I hope to get one myself someday. I don't remember where I get these pics from:

Top of my list would be the Mauser Broomhandle 1896...for sheer appearance.
Next in order would be a Stainless 1911- two photos here, First a V-16 Sprinfield in 45 SUPER in the center of my 1911 family, Then a Taurus. Both great examples of firearms beauty.

BTW- UGLY is represented by the HiPoint 9mm in the lower right of the group photo.

Best looking: Smith&Wesson Model 52.

Worst: Though it has some stiff competition, the Beretta Neo.

Constantine just for you

Constantine since you asked to see them, here they are.

Yesterday I received a small package my wife had to sign for it. She asked me "what was it?" and when I showed them to my wife she said "Oh, jewelry for men!"

I couldn't resist the Army eagle.
