And it continues.... On my way to the range in about ten minutes, but also just happened to win a Gunbroker auction on a Gen 3 G36.

congrats. I couldn't even tell whether Glock is top or flop since I've never shot anything else but Glocks (apart from .22s and .25s)

Me too. I joined the club recently with a G34.
For the longest time, I refused to get a Glock because of the grip angle. Bought a G34 Gen 4 as my "Protest Gun" -- 3 high capacity mags.

Now, I am starting to understand why so many people like Glocks.
Now, I am starting to accept the grip angle thing.
Now, I want a Glock 19.

Boy!!!!
You're in a tough spot, when you start out with best (a G34), it's downhill from there. The only thing left to di is get a Springfield Long Slide. In my opinion a G19 is also a must for any decent pistol collection.

Ugh...I miss my Glock 34 -_____- I want it back. I'm such an idiot.

Anyways, I'm loving the vibe in this thread. makes me happy. Let's try to ignore the person who comes in to rain on our parade. Ok?

I was the same way. I'm glad you found the light in the modern fighting pistol world.

Range trip with the 26

Took the 26 out for its first range trip. 200 rounds of assorted ammo (Federal FMJ, Blazer Brass, RWS, Fiocchi 124 gr XTP and Speer 124 Gold Dots). Not a single issue. Here is the very first ten rounds I fired through it (7 yards) and a later 10 yard group. This little guy is VERY easy to shoot, though not incredibly forgiving at 10 yards. The targets are 3" circles, isosceles stance, not quite rapid fire.

7 Yards, first ten rounds out of the gun.

Ten yards:

200 rounds old

Good shooting Rob. That's hard to do with the little grip and short barrel.

The little G26 is capable of better than that, after you get used to it.
I have no problem hitting the 10" steel plates at 40yds at my rifle club.

A little history on the Glock 26.

When they first were introduced, Chris Edwards of Glock Smyrna GA. Shot one, in a pistol match at an IALEFI Annual Training Conference, just for fun, he was not a member!!! He shot the top score. We treated him with fairness, as the Gentlemen we were! (Just told him don't come back!)

Picked up the 36 yesterday, got to say it fits my smaller hands perfectly. I'll be hitting the range later this week, there are some Trijicon HD's on the way and a High Noon Holsters IWB holster getting made at the moment. Here it is by itself, and one by the 26 for comparison.

We finally had a Glock 30 SF come through the shop recently. That has me thinking hard about a Glock 30 (Gen 4) at some point. Specifically, at some point after I get another Glock 19 (Gen 4) or Glock 23 (Gen 4)!

Also got a Glock and a

I just got the Gen4 19 Glock. Love it all the way around. Within the same week I also got a 9mm Sarsilmaz K2P (1911'ish type of build & CZ74 clone). The K2P caught me off guard with amazing performance for a 9mm all for $335. Outstanding build quality being heavy duty in nature. Excellent flawless performance so far. Nice tight groups at all distances right from box, cleaning and lube to range. But don't get me wrong here. The Glock is better, but not by much, at $200 more. All in all I am very pleased and excited with both.

Congratulations on your purchase! I'm so brand loyal to certain companies, and Glock is a tough one to ever beat on anything. You have a great pistol and you should really enjoy it!

Must be a distributor for another brand.

Great Glocks! The sub compact 26 the compact 19. Great right from the box, there is really no need to change a thing. Just buy ammo and range time!

Here are the Glocks with the others. If all goes as planned (the next few range trips will be the determining factor) the G26 will be taking over for the 642 and the 36 for the Commander sized 1911.

Had some Trijicon HD sights installed today (I've sent a lot of business to our LGS, they did the install for free, even though I bought them online). Two holsters are on the way (High Noon tailgunner, it is their take on the Milt Sparks Summer Special, and a DeSantis OWB). Headed to the range Friday, going to put 150 rounds of WWB, 100 rounds of Black Hills 230+p hollow points (Have it stockpiled, no better time to use it) A mix of standard pressure and +P Rangers (Also been stockpiling those) and some 185 DPX. Whichever works better between the Ranger and the DPX is what is going to turn into carry ammo.

Here are the new sights:

I too have recently joined the Glock Club. I was in my LGS looking at the Ruger SR45 and the owner showed me a new Glock 30S. I've always carried Sigs in 9mm but started lately to look at 45ACP. I checked out this Glock and told the owner I'd go home and sleep on it. He said he would hold it for me until I came in the next day. I bought the Glock the next day and have to say I like it a lot.

I am also looking at the 30s as a possible ccw weapon. But I won't get one until I get another 26. That lil' pistol is my favorite carry gun!
