Salt & Pepper Alloy Hi Powers

One with NP3 finish and Esmeralda's grips, the other flat black anodizing & matte blueing by Novak'a with Spegel Delrin grips. [IMG][/IMG]

Why is that the BHP is such a good looking pistol? These two are, of course, gorgeous, but the BHP has such a graceful shape and proportion.

That's a very good question, and especially when you consider the gun's French heritage.

Those are gorgeous. I definitely need a Hi Power.

The gun was not designed by the French. The spec was created by the French but the design was created by JMB and Dieudonné Saive who was Belgian.

Nice pair of alloys. I missed the boat on these. I could never find one which was in good enough condition to justify the price.

Thanks, guys. I couldn't help but notice one just went for paltry $450 on gunbroker a few days ago. Of course, if ANYONE else had wanted to bid, it might have gone to $750. But it is nice to know they are still available here and there, and do not all go for too much money.

NP3 finish with Spegel Delrin ... ouch !
Not that I dislike Esmeralda work (I have a pair), but don't like engraving of any kind.

By the way, what is NP3 finish and his characteristics ? Someone hving experience of this coating on a BHP ?

NP3 finish? Read all about it:

NP3 at Robar site

I would like to get a gun or two finished in the NP3 Plus. It has to be better, doesn't it? I mean, it says 'Plus'

Christian812, you got the grips reversed. The delrins are on the Novak (black) gun.
