Taurus 92/100 Mags in Beretta/Stoeger Cougar?

Was looking through the online Taurus Catalog and found they bought the Brazil plant for the Beretta 92? I just bought a Stoeger Cougar and I am having a hard time finding stuff for it, although everybody has been saying the Beretta Cougar and 92 mags should work. I'm wondering if the Taurus 92 model mags will? It states they come with 15rd mags standard so trying to hunt that direction now!

In my digging I found a site that said the Beretta ones will work in a Taurus, but the reverse won't work. Yet at the same time I am finding after-market mags that say they work with both the Beretta 92/96 and Taurus 92/99. Really no definitive answer yet.

mags for the beretta cougar will work for the stoeger.... the 92 mags will work for the stoeger but takes some work making a new notch for mag and grinding the base plate a little...

here is a good video about it i just saw a few days ago...

Yep, when you have to by a milling machine to get the 92 mag to work - it doesn't work.

The video is spot on.

I have a cousin that will spend two weeks "tweaking" mags from one gun to work in another. He hasn't had a real job in 40 years either.

More interested in the Taurus mags then anything as they have a higher capacity.

I'm trying to find stuff that works without me having to break it :P

Mec-Gar makes a flush fit 17 round mag for the 92. Before the panic both CDNN and the Beretta online store had Cougar mags for $19.
