Looking to install night sights on my 1911 Desert Eagle
Has anyone found an appropriate night sight for the 1911 Desert Eagle 45 ACP?

Triijicon
I have Trij sights on 3 handguns, they cost more but are better IMO.
I dont know what cuts the DE has but if they make them for you and its < $100 consider it an investment in 35 years of bright sights. Many others are good, these are ranger good.

Trijicon sights are great, but a tritium night sight is a tritium night sight. The technology for all of them is the same, as are the limitations. Tritium has a half-life of 12 years, so (theoretically) when the sights are 12 years old they will be 1/2 as bright as new ones. I say "theoretically" because I have seen a number of 6 or 7 year old night sights that were about worthless. Depending upon what type of dovetail DE uses, you may find some that will fit...or, you may have to have your slide machined to allow fitment. |
