I have some old 9mm ammo that was given to me that i want to sell. I no longer have any 9mm's and when i did I only bought pmc ammo, on the cheap. I cant find a point of reference online for prices, because everything is inflated, but I want to sell the ammo to a friend at PRE PANIC prices. can someone please help me out?
1 box (50 rounds) of Speer Gold Dot Superior GDHP 124 GR ammo 1 box (50 rounds) of Federal Premium 124 Grain Hydra SHock JHP This guy is desperate for ammo, but i dont want to rip him off. how much do I sell the two boxes for? thanks |

Says Midway sells it about 21-22 bucks a box for the Speer for 20 rounds.

The prices on Midway are "pre-panic" - they've just been listed as "out of stock / no backorder" for weeks now.
Both of those varieties were about $1/round in the 20-round boxes. They were cheaper in the 50-round boxes, though - about $25-$30 per box this time last year. |

Considering the current (non)-availability of ammo, I'd think he'd be happy to get premium self-defense 9mm for $.60 each.

Just taking a quick look on Gunbroker, 100-round quantities of the Speer 124gr 9mm ammo have been selling for $80-105 in the past few days. The Hydra-Shok has been going for almost that much.

Yeah, 60 bucks is fair because the ammo isn't just standard target ammo, it's premium defensive stuff.

I was thinking $3 a box would be fair and just to be nice I would offer to pay you $5.

I wouldn't sell the ammo to a friend. I'd give it to him.

Pre-shooting this ammo was ~ $1 a shot at Walmart. Frankly, any less than $75, you are giving it away. Maybe $50-$60 to a friend.

Is there any possibility that you might buy 9mm pistol in the future? If so, keep the ammunition. It should keep going up in value.

I'd give it to your friend if he's a good friend. If not sell it to a friend cheap. $15 a box?
