FNH FNS Compact

So im reading the April 2013 Handguns, and read that the FNS is getting a compact as well. I know its been on the net for a bit to include exchange kits. But seeing in published confirms it for me. So now what to do, SR40c or FNS 40c. Because I was close to buying it in FS over my Ruger, and still have that urge to buy it.

I bought an FNS 40 and am totally in love with it. So much I got it's brother the FNS 9. My fiance says they are my mistress'. I've said these will most likely be the last I will ever purchase (age wise and retired is fixed income). But I've never seen them in compact. Maybe I'll get to buy another one? I was told they are coming out with a .45.... com'on... I can't afford more!
I'm not sure if you're giving me good news or bad news. Maybe I better start saving now?

I'd be interested to see what size envelopes their compacts fall into. Glock 19/23 I'm guessing.

Re: FNH FNS Compact

3.5 in barrel at 23oz with night sights and 10 or 12rd mags, according to the blurb in the mag. So im picturing SRc dimensions possibly.

I've got a Glock 19 and an FNS-9. They're almost identical in size with the grip on the FNS-9 being slightly longer to hold 17 rounds vs the 15 in the Glock. I too would think the FNS-9 compact would be SR9c size.

I hope so because I want a 40, and the SR40c was my number 1, but an FNH compact 40 after testing may bump it.

FNS 9 ='s G19

The FNS 9 is pretty much EQUAL in size to the G19 but weighs a tad less

FNX 45 compact sounds sweet to me. If they can keep the capacity no lower than ten I'll consider one. Has anyone else noticed FN hangun pricing going up steadily over the past two years? They are currently at least $100.00 Clams over priced IMHO

I agree, 6.8. I'm interested in the FN-series pistols, but there's no way I'm going to pay Beretta 92 money for them. Same basic issue I have with the Springfield XDM. I just don't think either of them are $100 better than the Glock or M&P.

^^^^ They aren't. The Xdm series is even worse than FN. At least FN pistols are built in the US. IMO the worst offender has got to be HK. While Sigs are just as overpriced at least they offer metal frames and USA manufacturing. HK charges top dollar and gives you foreign built Tupperware. What a deal.

I have noticed the prices rising. But like anything deals can be had. But if and when the compact version does come out, I will wait it out a bit to see what issues it may have. I was extremely close to getting the full size FNS, but price won out in the end.

I've been hearing this story for well over a year now. I even contacted FN on the matter last august and was informed they would be available by Dec 2012. Well here it is May 2013 and they are still not available. I have money in the bank ready to go to purchase one when, but now I'm thinking, If, they become available. I might have to blow that cash on a Glock 30S instead.

Ruger SR-9c Great trigger. That gun gets a lot of praise. I own the m&p 9c which is great but I see a couple Rugers iny future. P95. And. Sr-45.
