american select powder
anyone use american select powder for 9mm or .38 loads?

I don't have any first-hand experience with that powder, but if you're just looking for load data, the Alliant site has some recipes for both of those calibers.

I'm using it for 38 spl. and 45 ACP.
38spl./3.7 grns/158 grn LSW to start. Alliant site lists a 357 load for it but no 38 spl. I have found that AS is all I need for my shotgun and pistol loads. It's available because most don't consider it a good pistol powder, but it is. Finding a common pistol powder is impossible now so just switch to a shotgun powder which is why I have lots of it around. Clays will also work. Jim |
