This comes from a topic near and dear to me. My family on my mothers side is from Germany. Although it is impossible to prove, I think WWII would have been ended much closer to the starting point if the citizens were not disarmed. At any rate, here is a chart that you may find useful when speaking to your anti-2A friends...

While there's some very compelling correlation between gun control and democide, it's difficult to prove causation.

It's not difficult to prove that gun control is a necessary component of genocide. Treating it as a cause is wrong, the cause is human nature. It's very difficult to kill people in mass when they can shoot you for trying it.
