I read this and thought it was pretty funny, so I posted it on the Facewebs and most people thought it was pretty funny, except for two or three ardent 2A supporters who thought it was disrespectful and mocking. Can they not take a joke or am I missing something here?

It's always healthy to take a step back and have a laugh at yourself, but the old adage "it's funny because it's true" often comes into play.

Sometimes we do need to laugh at ourselves. Right before we get back to work keeping the shadow alphabet soup agencies too scared to oppress us with those black helicopters.

Maybe he is the man LaPierre of the NRA was referring to when he said "the only thing that stops a bad man with a gun is a good man with a gun". I just wonder how he can be all over the country at the same time!

Color me curmudgeon.

I like the Onion and will continue following it but they had a bit about the NRA sending gift baskets of semi-auto pistols to the parents of the Sandy Hook shooting victims that I thought was just too far over the edge.
