zastava m70 30-06 // m70 8 x 57
Hi, all!
I have option to buy one of these two rifles for hunting. (zastava m70 30-06 // m70 8 x 57) Mauser bolt action system. Could anyone say about quality, durability - and MOST importantly about accuracy, when compared to other rifles. Many thanks in advance. |

I had a .30-06 Zestava and it was rugged and reliable. Don't believe Win made an 8x57 in a claw extractor version. Other difference is 3 position safety. I much prefer the 30 to the 8 because of bullet selection.

The Zastava M70 Mauser is a rugged and accurate rifle, although somewhat rough. In the US, the 30-06 would probably have the advantage due to ammo availability. Either one will take down anything you will need to kill on this continent.
