I removed the mag safety device on my Mk III some months ago to improve the trigger. Can I compete in IDPA without the factory installed safety?
Thanks for all responses.

Both of the Hipowers I shoot in IDPA have had same removed. Believe it can be considered to come under "internal accuracy & reliability work" being acceptable mods. See: http://www.idpa.com

Thanks Skevlar. I wasn't sure how to interpret that paragraph in the rulebook. As the modification wasn't specifically listed, I couldn't be sure if it was forbidden. The club where I shoot is fairly open-minded anyway and I could probably shoot with no questions asked but I want to meet the intent of the sport.
