Vanguard Barrel Removal.
Anyone have an easy way to do it? Every time we take the barrel off a Howa or Vanguard it is a nightmare. Is there a trick to it I dont know? My friend bent a Vanguard action a few months ago and never did get the barrel off.

It is my understanding that relief cuts have to be made for Vanguard barrels to be removed without jeopardizing the action.IDK for sure.

That is my understanding as well. Is there a way to do it without making the cuts? This one in particular is a 7Rem mag we want to re-chamber to 7STW. We want to keep the barrel.

Make a small relief cut and set the barrel back that much. You'll never notice the difference once it is all done.
