Where to buy old GI style 1911 mags?

Does anyone know of any place online that sell the "old style" 7 rd GI 1911 mags? I'm referring to the ones with the tapered feed lips meant for hardball only and not the more modern wadcutter or hybrid type. Thanks.

eBay's been slim pickings these days for this particular style of mag. at least for new mags anyway. I'm not sure anyone still makes them any more.

GI

Call Check Mate Industries and ask for Joe DeBello. They're back-ordered right now because of the panic, but they make full-tapered GI Hardball magazines. Pop the extra 2 bucks for the heavy duty spring.

They're available in blue or stainless.

Check Mate made the last government contract magazines toward the end of the Vietnam involvement up until around 1978. They were the last ones that the government contracted for.

I still see them at the gun shows. If you don't mind some rust, you can still get them for $10 or so. Do not mistake real WWII GI mags for the phoneys in fake kraft paper wrapping.
