Winchester 780 Br powder
I just found a couple of pounds of it. Anyone have any loading data for it? I hate to throw it away even though it is old. This is not "supreme 780."

There still should be pertainent data available for that powder, find it on a burn rate chart, and see where it fit's in, then go from there. It has the same number as Supreme, maybe it's not far off, if so it's cool for a lot of neat loads.

Try WWW.hodgenpowder.com, if that don`t work gogle hodgen powder. You can down load theie whole loading manual, or just find the data you need.

I cant find it on a burn rate chart. Hodgdon does not have data for it. Called Hodgdon tech support and they said they no longer had any data for it. I asked him if it was close to being the same as supreme and he said he thought it was slower but was not 100% sure that it was.

I have some old reloading manuals that list 780 BR, they're from the early 1970s. What cartridge are you loading, what weight bullets?

Hey Reynolds you might have already tried this but, I use IMR 4831 with 140 Accubonds, and it's really nice, easy recoil and very consistant.
