308 and H335

Does any one load for 308 with H335? If you do or have, how does it compare? I plan on getting a AR 10 when all this blows over and would like to use H335 since it meters so well.

I've loaded some 147gr pulldown FMJs and some 150gr hornady soft points with wc844 which is supposed to be a H335 equivalent. Havent shot them yet. There did seem to be a fair amount of space left in the case even at the highest charge. Will keep you posted if you want.

I purchased a jug of WC844 and also have H335, and consider them to be the same. One reason I selected this powder is that it can be used for 223 and 308. I have used a lot of this powder for 223, and have loaded it for 308 with 110 gr bullets, and have absolutely no reason not to use it for heavier bullets. The link below to the Sierra Bullets cartridge guide includes loads using H335 for nearly all bullets listed. It is certainly usable, but may not yield the highest velocities for heavier bullets. But it will give you the 3300 fps max velocity with Sierra's 110 gr Varmitter 308 bullet.
