Speer small pistol 45 ACP brass question
Hi folks
Long time since I've posted. I've recently bought 2 Blue label G21s (gen 3 and gen 4) and have stocked up on supplies for feeding them over the next few months. I bought 1000 Speer once fired small pistol primed brass. Other than using small pistol primers are there any other concerns vice large pistol primed brass? Thanks |

Sorry. I'll add that I'm relatively new to reloading and have reloaded about 4000 40 S&W for my G23 with good results on my lee pro 1000.
Thanks |

You will likely get a LITTLE lower velocity with small primers.
I tried four loads with large and small primer brass and the smalls were 25-40 fps less. Not enough to worry about unless you are crowding the minimum power factor for USPSA or IDPA. I saw no other difference, load in confidence. |
