Wax Slugs?
I saw a youtube video today where a guy was testing out home made " wax slugs" and was wondering what they are trying to prove with them. What would be the practical application a bunch of compressed bb's compared to a regular shot shell or a slug? If anyone could fill me in on these or at least the concept I would be grateful haha.

Your post is confusing. Wax slugs or BBs encapsulated in wax?

Sorry, they call them wax slugs but they show that they are regular shot suspended in wax. Why would you ever use this when you have slugs? |

I don't think there is a practical purpose- other than making a Youtube video. Some people do this stuff just because they can or just for fun.

Makes sense ha I always watch people shooting odd things and can understand that but the way the video was presented I thought they were a well used thing that I had never heard about before. Thanks

I found this video a while back and have been meaning to try it with an old single shot of mine. A little igenuity goes a long ways.

When I was a kid the old man that taught me about shooting and guns would load .45 colt rounds with just a primer and then take a slab of wax that you can buy anywhere and press the shell into it cutting out a slug. He would have me working on my trigger pull with these rounds. They would put a serious dent in cardboard with a wall for a backer.

Wax slugs with the pellets imbedded it make a pretty good substitute for a store bought slug. They can pack a punch.
Why? If you can't afford the real deal, or because walmart is out of all ammo.
