I have a Pf-9 and am happy with it. As others have said, there are no free lunches with it. Recoil will get your attention but is managable.

I've had all three and no longer own any of them. To be honest, comparing a light poly 9mm, aluminum framed .380 blowback and a .38spl snub revolver is hard to narrow down. You don't know what you want so I would suggest finding a place that rents guns and see what you like. Since this is your first gun, I'd suggest something fullsize in 9mm or 45acp...maybe even a .22lr to learn proper handgun skills like grip and trigger pull.
