For various reasons, it's been a while since I set up and used the loading bench. But that is getting ready to change and soon. I have some five year old IMR 4350, Varget and WLR primers that I will use up and then renew stock for loading .270; .30-06; 6.5x55 and 22-250. Varget will go in the 22-250, H4831 for .270 and .30-06, and still shopping for optimum powder for 6.5x55. The rounds will be fired from a 1942 Husqvarna M-38. The 6.5 bullets will be Hornady 140 gr HP BT Match, Hornady 129 gr Spitzer Interlocks; Hornady 100 gr Spitzer. Remington Brass. The 140's are for paper fun. I plan to use the 129 Interlocks on deer and the 100's are for coyotes and pumpkins.

I have always had consistent performance from WLR primers but have an open mind.

Sooooo.... What are your recommendations? Recipes you might care to share??

120gr Sierra spitzer, CCI BR primer, IMR4350 powder
tried 45,46,47 gr of powder. 47 gr shot a 3rd group of .97" @ 100 yds. Case expansion .479".

100gr Hornady W/W primer IMR3031 powder
tried 36 to 42.5gr of powder. Best was 42.5gr
for 3011 fps. es=24 5 shots in 1.2" @100 yds, case exp .479

This was done on a 15deg. December day so pressures will be higher in the summer.
