Sorry, the quote was from a SATIRE PIECE. Wow. Just now realized. Anyway, I urge every responsible and law-abiding, freedom-loving American to do something to make your (our) collective voices heard that day. I plan on purchasing a new firearm that day but haven't decided yet. Thinking of picking up a Mossberg 500 Persuader.

Right. Because Congress and President Obama hang out at gun shops, ranges, and gun shows with regularity.

This is a glorified sewing circle, and a partisan one at that. I'm seeing the same slogans and tired internet memes, but I'm not seeing any sort of action or influence I wouldn't see with existing local-level 2A groups.

It's a waste of time and energy that could be better spent elsewhere.
