For my 357 magnum needs, I like Speer Gold Dots or Double Tap 158gr rounds.
For 38 rounds I like the Speer Short Barrel 38+P stuff or the heavy "FBI Loads" from Double Tap. |

I've settled on a Speer 158gr LSWCHP over 4.7 gr. Unique. It gives me 815 fps out of my snubbies, packs some punch, and isn't painful to practice with. I also use it in my Marlin 94 and shoot it in my .357's more than the hot stuff.

110 grain Hornady over 22.5 grains of H110.
Middle level load from the Hodgdon reloading manual. (still pretty hot)

Shot placement is everything! I would rather take a round of 50BMG to the foot than a 22short to the base of the skull. all 21 of my guns are 45/70 govt 357 mag, 22 or 12 ga... I believe in keeping it simple |
