Affordable .224 bullets in stock and Midwayusa

55gr FMJBT

62gr FMJBT (lead core)

I'm not encouraging panic buying, but most .224 bullets under $15 per hundred are out of stock everywhere. I've stocked up myself should shelves be bare for a while.

EDIT: All sold out. Hopefully some of you were able to get your orders in.

Gun show had 55gr for $12/100 today. I actually passed and got some 308 for my Garand.

A few years ago I managed to shag 4000 of these Armscore bullets. They vary in weight and are not quite as consistent as the equivalent in Hornady and the Hornady are about the same price.

I just ordered 500. I've used these bullets for volume plinking in the past and find them to have acceptable accuracy - about 1.5 to 2.0 MOA at 100 yards.

I agree that there is some variability in the weights and some minor imperfections in the bullets. But for just clanging steel out to 100 yards they're great.

Thanks for the heads up.

I have 2k of the 52 grain Sierra Match King and a few hundred of the nosler all copper bullet on the way. I have a couple thousand more soft and hollow points already squirreled awy.

3k 5.56 brass and a half dozen bricks of primers for 5.56 and enough Varget to load it all.

In spite of all this, I cleaned out our local Wal Mart of all the 223 ammo a couple weeks ago.
