Starting an AR Build
For all you who built your own... where did you begin? How did you go about piecing it together?

I looked at the info on the Build it Yourself sticky's at AR15.com.
Link I also started with a good parts list. On a first build, it might be best to get: Stripped Lower Lower parts kit Buttstock assy with buffer, tube & spring Complete Upper Assy Bolt Carrier Group Charging Handle Sights ... Some parts maybe in upper assy Sling and sling mount Optic and mount PSA is a good place to look as well as BCM. Last edited by Nathan; December 18, 2012 at 09:56 PM. |

That's the link I used. Printed it out and went slowly. It's a lot easier than it looks. I've done a second now and it was a breeze.

Yes, I like to build the lower. I used an Armalite LPK on my first.
My next one is a PSA lower completion kit with MOE buttstock. I built my first Upper, but this time I'm using a complete PSA. |
