They are starting to become a little more available so the prices should level off. I see Buds gun shop has them but they want $749.95 for it. I guess some dealers want to hit a homerun on everything they sell. The wholesale price on these hasn't gone up since they were introduced they still cost dealers $535.00.

I had the chance to put about 100 rounds through the ruger 1911, I was impressed with the performance, it shot very nice groups, great gun for the $650 price, when the price is up to $750 I would look at other options, but that is me and there are more than a few firearms I have my eye on if the price is right

Love my SR1911
Mine has a tad over 2,000 rounds down the pipe and has been flawless so far. not a single issue that was not related to one of my reloads. It has never jammed on factory rounds.
in fact, I actually posted on a 1911 forum about what to check on the pistol at that level because I could detect no real wear marks anywhere and was getting worried that I might be missing something obvious. So far so good, the frame and slide fit must be near perfect, there's no wear that I can see, and she's still as tight as she was the day I unboxed it. |
