Do you "Text" while hunting in the stand? - Page 5

About the only time I text is to send pix..... did a lot o that this year, to my niece, so she could give her dad (my brother) crap for not making the trip back "down home"......

Full Internet coverage. As others have noted, more options to let people know status than a scratchy radio (if you're in line of sight).

I'm 40 and I do. Usually it is for work since I never really get a day off but I gladly sacrifice that for a decent paycheck. I will text my friends to brag and rub it in when I get one and they do also. Still competitive with each other after 30 years of friendship.

Shadowbob, I hear ya there. At my previous job I was always (365/24/7) on call. The plant manager didn't seem to get the quiet solitude part of hunting. I would respond to his calls with texts. The guys who worked for me got it. Wouldn't bother me unless they had no other choice.
New job, still on call always, but get a call every month or two, not ten + a day.
So to the OPs question- yes I have texted while on stand, but only for work purposes. And my age is 36.
