The only time I have not switched out my carry gun AT ALL was when Inonly owned one gun.
That said, I have 3 different guns that are used in a rotation depending on the weather, clothing, location and planned activities of the day. Those 3 guns have not been any different in about FOUR YEARS.

Carry a S&W Mod 36 Chief for 40 years so far, it's part of me by this time. A great revolver.

I have three handguns that I carry both on and off duty. Glock 19 and a Glock 26 (6.5 years) and a Smith & Wesson Model 49 Bodyguard (ten years). Many guns have come and gone over the years, but those three remain. I like them. They're my realworld guns. Reliable and I am very familiar with them. That's important for realworld handguns.

I switch frequently. Usually I carry a big .45. Sometimes I carry a pocket gun. Simply depends on the weather, my degree of laziness at the time, etc.

I switch between a P32 and a Kimber CDP, depending on clothing and where I am going. Going to make the .45 the full timer soon.

I carried a Charter Arms Bulldog for 10 years until S&W introduced the 696. The 696 has been my daily carry since that time. It will be the last carry gun I ever buy.

I'd like to ask a question first: do you mean models of weapons, such as a Glock to a 1911, or do you mean specific weapons, such as this 1911 to that 1911?
I have two 1911s that I carry, (one at a time) but I've gone back and forth, for different reasons. But it's always been one of the two 1911s, so in one sense, I've switched, in another, I haven't. So let me know what you're asking, and I'll vote on the poll.
