attachment rail strength
heres the question, just what is the maximum torque rating if you will of the attachment rail of a modern made semi auto pistol?
im trying to figure out if its merely a function of material versus dimensions, or if it can be simulated correctly with a modulus of elasticity formula for said material? |

Some rails are polymer some metal. The polymer ones are offten under the metal insert in the frame.
Yeah so no idea. No idea if a standard even in the land of mil spec has ever been published |

not for kicks and giggles, restarting a project of mine.
so since there is no real standard, just what can be expected of one to hold up to without actually destroying a real gun ? |
