I handled a a Rossi today and it was no where near as smooth as my old marlin but then the Marlin is very broke in.
I am thinking about getting a Winchester Trapper some time to go along with my Marlin Trapper. The Henry are very smooth too but they lack the loading gate so they are not really what I am looking for.

Shot placement is everything! I would rather take a round of 50BMG to the foot than a 22short to the base of the skull. all 21 of my guns are 45/70 govt 357 mag, 22 or 12 ga... I believe in keeping it simple |
